New Studio and Catch Up

I have a new studio to shoot in. We did some "Extreme Makeover" speed construction and got it done in two and a half days. I couldn't be happier!!

Also I have so many shoots to get up here on this blog from Christmas rush its not cool. Shoots like 13 grandchildren (7 of whilch were under one)!! CRAZY but so cute!! I will try to get more little bits at a time. For now enjoy all these cute people I got to work with.

Lots of Love and a Picture

It is hard for me to put into words how I feel about this kid. He has got to be the best thing on earth. He is such a happy little guy and he brightens my everyday. This last year my heart has grown to max capacity. Capacities that I did not know possible.

This little man is one year old and I don't know where the time went. I have enjoyed the last year probably more than any other year in my life.

Right now my little guy is learning like crazy. He soaks up the world. He talks to everybody that looks his way. He just jabs on like he is making perfect sense. I know that he is telling the most amazing stories. Someday I will know all too well what he is saying. For now I enjoy his "Uh Ohs," "tickle, tickle (complete with him doing a monkey type tickle to himself)," mama and dada.

Jake gives the most adorable kisses. Is there anything better than baby slobber all over my face from full blown kisses? I really don't think so! At his one year birthday party, during a prayer on the food, he gave my mom kiss after kiss. The boy was relentless. I shouldn't have been peeking but I am so glad I was. I couldn't help but giggle out loud. Her face was drenched by the time he was finished kissing her. He is so full of love.

Jake and I went and met Ryan for lunch last week and he was gabbing with the people on one side of us and playing peek-a-boo with the ladies on the other. It was so cute.

Life is good. I am so grateful for this little man in my life.

Baby J Turned 1

Yesterday J turned one. We had such a great time throwing him a birthday party. Who knew throwing kids birthday parties could be so much fun. We had a few family members down to celebrate with us. The party was complete with good food (thanks Jeff), yummy dessert and lots of fun gifts.

A great Christmas

We had a great Christmas this year. We had a very fun addition, that added a whole new demention . J loved all of his toys, he didn't understand the opening but has the playing part down.

This is the most amazing gift any of us received this year. My dad makes all of the grandkids a hand made toy their first Christmas. Among the ones made have been trains, rocking horses, Noah's arks and this year we were on the receiving end of this amazing wooden castle. Baby J loves it. This picture shows him playing with it in action. In his hand is his favorite piece. We set up all of the pieces and he uses this piece to knock all the other pieces down.

Thanks dad for an amazing handmade gift that we will treasure for years to come.

What a Great Birthday

Last Friday I turned 26. Yikes. It was a great day. I woke up to the little pitter patters of three extra little ones. I watched my sisters kids from Wednesday to Saturday with a break for a birthday date with Ry. Ryan went and got McDonald's for me for breakfast and then was off to work. I went to Sugar house park with Jessica, Halle and Chelsea and ate

Went home to Tiffany's house and took a little nap. Then Ryan came home and we went on our first date alone since Jake was born we had an hour and a half dinner atit was to die for yummy. Then we went and picked up Jake from Grandma and Grandpas, opened presents (Ryan got me this really cute coat he picked it out all by himself and I have to say I was impressed!)and watched a redbox. It was a very nice day. Thank you all for your phone calls, texts, cards and gifts.

Jake is growing up so fast. He is sitting up on his own and scooting! He started eating solids a couple of weeks ago. I am absolutely loving this stage of his life. He is so much fun.

Sleep Training Update and the Snooze Button

Sleep training was a success!! The first night J cried for 1 hour, the second night 20 minutes, the third 3 minutes and the forth nothing. We still have nights where he reverts back to his old ways but not too many. An added bonus is the snooze button. He goes to bed at 630 or 7 wakes up for one feeding around 530 then the snooze button feature puts him back to sleep until 8 or 9.
My nephew L, Stephanie's son, had a snooze button and I remember loving it when we watched him and his sister. I am loving it even more with my own little guy.

It is a tradition in Ryan's family to go to the Outer Banks of North Carolina every other year for two weeks. I think this has to be my favorite family tradition.
We just got back a couple of days ago and I miss it so much. I love being with Ryan 24/7 and it was very nice to have 30+ pairs of hands to help with Jake.
Jake just looks at me everyday and I think he thinks "your it?" Where are my grandma's and aunts and cousins?
Thanks to all that made this trip possible and to everyone who helped with Jake.
As you will see in the pictures he did a ton of sleeping. We love our little guy. It is so fun to see him discover and experience new things for the first time.

Christmas Meadows

My Grandparents built an awesome cabin in a place called Christmas Meadows. I have been going there my whole life. I have such great memories of the cabin. It is truly the most relaxing vacation on earth. No phone, no TV and no cell reception. I love it.
We went up for the 4th of July and had a blast with the Munns family. We went hiking, canoeing, fishing and saw a big moose right in front of the cabin. We had a great time.

Sleep Training

Jake has officially been crying for 48 minutes and my doctor said to let him go 90. Sleep training is officially the hardest part about being a mom. I am about to pull my hair out I feel so bad. Anybody have some good tips to get through it? I am desperate.

A New Driveway!!!

The other day we got a new sidewalk and driveway poured. It was like pulling teeth to get them to replace it all. They just wanted to replace random pieces. They were going to only replace 5 of 6 squares on our driveway so I begged them to take the remaining square. The sight super said he couldn't or he could loose his job. I didn't want him to loose his job so I gave up. I kept hoping that they would just be nice and take it out. After the sight super left I tried my luck begging the sub contractors. I won and it was so funny. The one square was left on the driveway and I just went out there and stood, hoping. The guy in the mini excavator pointed to the remaining piece and asked if I wanted it removed. I gave him a pleading gesture and continued hoping. He took the shovel and picked up the remaining piece and dropped it but nothing happened. He raised his shovel and pounded the remaining piece busting it into a bunch of pieces. He turned off his machine and called the site super to make sure it was "ok" to remove it. I laughed so hard but... I got my way. Wahoo!!!

Jacob and Abby had a Memorial Day baby. Elise aka Ellie was born Monday, May 25th at 12:29 pm. She was 6 lbs. 3 oz. 19.5 inches long. She is so tiny. It makes me realize how fast Jacob is growing. Congrats you guys.

Memorial Weekend

We had a great memorial day weekend. We went up to midway and hung out with Tiff and Jacob and Jacob and Abby and their kids. We had a blast. We went to Zermatt and played... we played mini golf and the kids went on the carousel. On Monday we went to Chris and Lisa's house for a BBQ with Ryan's family. The food was yummy and the company was great. Jacob really enjoyed vegging out with Grandma Bonne!!! Can you say relaxed? I need Grandma Bonne around all the time to keep him this relaxed.

This weekend was my first Mother's Day and it was a wonderful one. It was made very special by Jake's blessing in church on Sunday!! Ryan was such a sweetheart and took care of Jake so I could get in a afternoon nap. It was heavenly!!! Thanks to all who came to share Jake's special day with us.

St. George Couples Trip

Two weekends ago we went to St. George with a bunch of our favorite people. It was a very short trip but so much fun. We left Friday afternoon and got to St. George around 7. We stayed in a beautiful historic home with the most beautiful yard. It even had a swimming pool and hot tub. We ate yummy food, played tennis, laid by the pool and had a very relaxing sunday dinner under the gigantic trees in the yard. It was so great to be with all of our friends. Thanks Dave and Nat for making the 'very' long drive:) We are looking forward to the next vacation. Lets start planning!!!

For Christmas this year Ryan's parents gave us a family trip to California. It was so much fun cashing in a Christmas present in April. We had so much fun going to the beach, shopping, playing and going to Wicked in L.A. Thanks for a great trip.
